Mazotos
Mazotos is an unspoilt traditional Cypriot village surrounded by olive groves with the sea to one side and mountains on the other. This rural village is close to the new Golf resort in Tersefanou village which is virtually around the corner.
Mazotos is a mile and a half inland and approximately 5-10 minutes drive from the local beach. This beautiful beach is made up of soft sand and pebbles. The sand shelves very gently into the sea and you can walk quite a way out and still only be knee depth which makes it perfect for families, the water is lovely and warm to paddle and sit in and cool off from the summer sun.
The village has a range of local amenities including 2 small supermarkets a bank and cash point a new bar and a lively weekend market.
10 minutes to the southwest, past the village of Zygi with its famous fish taverns, and you will access the highway network which links you to the all the island's major towns. The busy town of Larnaca is only a 15 minute drive where you can find shops, bars and restaurants for everybody and of course the beautiful Palm tree-lined beachfront area of Phinikoudes - with many cafes and restaurants along a very clean safe beach.
The village also enjoys many tourist attractions, one of them being the Camel Park - Visitors can feed and ride the Camels, Adults can enjoy a great meal at the restaurant which overlooks the park or have cocktails by the pool.
