Polemi: Polemi Village is located within the rolling Hills, 450m above sea level. Is between Pafos and Polis area and is the biggest village of Pafos District with a population of around 900. It situated on a plateau overlooking vineyards and valleys. Polemi Village has its own Bank (Bank of Cyprus), Coop, and is the only village that has a pre primary, primary and high school. You can also find 2 traditional Taverns, 2 small supermarkets, kiosks, bakery, butcher's shop, flower shop, a Retirement home with Doctor 24 hour call, 3 hairdressing salons! and Cypriot coffee shops. The church of Panayia Chryseleousa (the Virgin Mary of Mercy) is dated back to 13th-14th century. Polemi Village is one of the main 'wine villages' of Paphos with extensive grape farming wich has resulted in SODAP Kamanterena building its very large wine factory just in the entrance of the village.
Polemi Village is also known as the 'Tulip' village. An annual Tulip festival is celebrated to mark this unexplained phenomenon and attracts tourist from all over Cyprus.
