Stroumbi. Stroumbi is located about 15 kilometers north-east of Paphos on route to Polis Chrysochous. Vines of mostly wine-making varieties, fruit-trees, almond, olive, and walnut trees are cultivated in this region. Since ancient times, the village was renowned for its wines of excellent quality and therefore it is no accident that in 1982, the village’s inhabitants established their annual festival, named “Dionuysia” in honour of the ancient Greek God Dionysos.
Stroumbi is one of Paphos most picturesque villages, steeped in tradition with its stone houses, winding roads and Cypriot tavernas. It is also well known for its climate as the air is drier and cooler in the summer months.
